Stray Plush (!!) and 2025 plans

Something new begins...

Hey Everyone,

First of all, before I get into the news, a quick and heartfelt thanks for the MASSIVE support of Citizen Sleeper 2 on launch! Thank you :)

The game did better than our highest expectations, both critically and commercially, and a few weeks later I can’t help but feel a warm glow every time I see the key art! Pulling off a sequel like this was a huge effort, but I’m so proud of what I, Guillaume and Amos were able to do, along with the tireless support of Fellow Traveller.

It all calls for a celebration, and while I have done some of my own celebrating, I thought we’d all need something to make us smile in the post launch period, so here it is:

The Citizen Sleeper universe can be a serious place, but after two games, I thought it was the chance to do something, well, softer. Introducing the Stray plush designed by the awesome Guillaume Singelin, this little furry lump is a zero-g cat for your own home, to remind you of the journey of your Sleeper.

We are running a campaign over on Makeship, and if you feel like you’d like to adopt your very own space-cat, well here is your chance:

Me and Guillaume had a lot of fun pulling this design together, and below are some of the behind-the-scenes designs that brought us to this particular floating cat approach:

The Stray will be limited to the campaign, so if you are interested now is the time. Otherwise, if plushes aren’t your thing, hopefully the wonky cat drawings above will have at least brought a little smile to your face!

Meanwhile, I have been bug-fixing and yes resting now that launch is done, and am feeling pretty recharged at this point. With that in mind, here are a few of the things you might be able to expect in the next few months:

• In Other Waters 5th Anniversary! As this is a big year for Jump Over the Age, and marks 5 years since this journey started in earnest, I am arranging something a little special for the anniversary. Don’t expect anything game-shaped but we will be offering something cool outside of the game for fans, new and old.

• Citizen Sleeper 2 Localisation! Yes, we are starting work on this, and hope to have an announcement later in the year. You can expect us to localize the MASSIVE 250k+ words this year, but please be patient, it’s a whole load of translation and we want to get it RIGHT.

• Physical things! I constantly get asked about physical things (artbooks! Switch Carts! T-Shirts! Pins!) and I am happy to confirm those things are all in the works. As this is a launch year its a great year to do fun Citizen Sleeper projects, and I will be taking advantage of that. Watch this space.

And… after that… well, I'm already moving onto my next game, though its very early days. It’s going to be something I'll be keeping under wraps for as long as I can, hoping to surprise you all when it breaks cover. But be very sure that I am not done yet!
