Citizen Sleeper goes physical!

And Starward Vector on approach.

Hello again!

It’s been a busy month of preparations and development, and while there’s still a little bit of time to wait until all my hard work is revealed, we do have some exciting news for today.

I’ve been holding back this month’s newsletter so it can time-in with the excellent headline news: Citizen Sleeper now has a physical edition for Nintendo Switch! You can head over to Fangamer right now to preorder your copy, more details below:

Physical Edition Revealed!

As you can see, the switch edition of the game is a nice little package, with some exclusive stickers, a map of Erlin’s Eye (with a poster on the back!) and art cards for each of the game’s three classes. We are stuffing as much as we can into the cute little switch box, so I hope you’ll enjoy digging into it in the Summer if you preorder today.

Fun fact: as with everything Citizen Sleeper, I designed this edition myself. Which means there’s lots of fun little details tucked away in there ;)

…of a System in Crisis

Meanwhile in the world of Cycles of the Eye we are in the process of laying out the book, and finalizing the rules after a very successful playtest. The above spreads are WIP material by the excellent Alfred Valley, who has been working with me on the design. There’s still work to be done on the solo TTRPG, but I promise it will be worth the wait.

The Sleeper’s Archive

Finally, just this last weekend I met up with Guillaume Singelin in Paris, and he gave me a wonderful gift: some of the original drawings from Citizen Sleeper. You might not know this but while Guillaume sketches digitally, the linework for his final character designs are always done in pen! These drawings are now safely archived in the Jump Over the Age studio, a little bit of history in the (papery) flesh.
