Citizen Sleeper 2 + Helion Dispatches Announced!

Hi everyone!

I’m very excited to share that at the PC Gaming Show today we announced Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector! Take a look:

Welcome back to the Helion system!

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a true sequel that will take you to a new location (the Starward Belt), put you in the declining body of a new Sleeper, and once again ask you to build a life for yourself among the stars. But this time you have a ramshackle ship and a crew you’ve recruited, both of which need you to steer them through a system-wide crisis.

I’ll be once again drawing on the freedom and flexibility of TTRPGs, the change and chaos of dice and the sense of foreboding and progress a slowly filling clock creates, but also bringing fresh ideas, characters and systems into the mix.

Citizen Sleeper 2 is my next big experiment, and we are announcing it early to make sure everyone knows that the Citizen Sleeper universe, and the Helion System, is here to stay. Speaking of which…

I’d also like to announce the Helion Dispatches:

A serialized text-based narrative project following a pirate radio station as it tracks and broadcasts corporate activity in the Helion system, Helion Dispatches will be available monthly on this very substack.

The stories of Helion Dispatches will cover the the time jump from Citizen Sleeper’s Episode: PURGE up the the opening of Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, so if you want to get a deeper insight into the universe of the games you’ll be able to follow along for the rest of the year.

Episode 1 will debut on substack on the 15th of June! Those of you already signed up will get it straight to your inbox, but if you haven’t yet:

I hope you are excited about the future of Citizen Sleeper. I have been working for months to prepare for this moment and along with Citizen Sleeper: Design Works and the solo tarot TTRPG Cycles of the Eye I hope it shows that its not a universe I plan to move on from any time soon. As always, it is only through your support that I have been able to take these big swings, and I’m looking forward to showing more!
