Games and architecture now in print

Hello!

Just wanted to send a quick announcement to you all that the first phase of the Heterotopias physical archive is now LIVE on Lost in Cult.

I’ve been poring over the process of designing a print format to immortalize the 5 years of work that Heterotopias represents, and I’m so happy with the result.

We are starting with issues 001, 002, and 003 and they are coming together as beautiful open-spine publications with a hefty material quality and lots of interior detail. You can preorder them from today.

We are also doing a special slipcase with all three issues and a special volume of the website studies we commissioned, complete with gorgeous translucent text pages and gloss photo pages. I am so excited about getting to play with some slightly atypical print design!

The deluxe edition also comes with two postcard series—Memories of a Broken Planet, a 35mm Metroid Prime series printed with metallic ink, and Empty City, a high gloss exploration of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst—theses are backed up with a massive Kane & Lynch 2 Dog Days poster, also a 35mm game photograph using the unique analogue photography process I pioneered.

All in all, I think its an exciting package, and I hope you’ll support the project if you can. I have worked with so many writers and artists in Heterotopias over the years, and the project has been massive, but I have often felt its impact and legacy was limited by its digital format. This archive project should put an end to that, and I hope we can celebrate this huge volume of work.

I’ll update you all with a more full update on my comings and goings, and especially the Citizen Sleeper anniversary, very soon.
