Hello everyone!
Another short update over here to tell you all to get ready for next week—which marks 1 entire year since Citizen Sleeper launched.
You didn’t think I’d let it pass without having some fun did you?
A Year on The Eye
I have been quietly working away on some very exciting stuff for you all, the culmination of which will begin next Monday, May 1st, and roll through the early week with two MASSIVE announcements. After that we will head into LudoNarraCon (my publisher’s yearly celebration of narrative games) over on Steam and there will be more fun to be had there too!
Before this all kicks off, I also wanted to say that you might see some changes on this substack too once next week rolls around. Things will be switching over to being a Citizen Sleeper focused as we head into what is a really big moment for the game and its ongoing universe. I’m going to be messing with newsletter formatting a bit and generally settling into something new.
Let me know if you notice anything weird happening 👀
Heterotopias Archive
Just before things do go all Citizen Sleeper, I wanted to once again shout out the Heterotopias physical project I launched on Lost in Cult recently.
Heterotopias is a zine focused on games and architecture I have been running for the past 6 years, and it is finally becoming a physical book collection.
I mentioned the launch in my last update, but as we are heading for the halfway point in our funding campaign, I just wanted to encourage you all to go and take a look. It’s a passion project for me, and I think the finished product will be a beautiful object.
That’s it for now, I’m going to keep my ink a little dry (does that even make sense on the internet?) ready for the big announcements, and general fun and games of next week.
I’m vibrating with excitement over here
See you for the celebrations,
Gareth
Can't wait to see what you've been cooking! CS is one of my favourite 'worlds', pretty much ever. So stoked for more
I am SO EXCITED. Thanks for the teaser. I just finished playing through CS again, this time on PlayStation. So grateful it exists and has done so well! All the best
